An organization of compassionate fashionistas seeking to ban the sale of fur in LA and beyond!

About

FUR FREE LOS ANGELES is an organization of compassionate fashionistas seeking to ban the sale of fur in ALL of Los Angeles and beyond.

Founded by Amy Rebecca Adler in 2010, we have successfully organized campaigns which have lead to Brandy Melville, Dolls Kill, Karmaloop,  LF Stores, Planet Blue, True Religion, and Urban Outfitters all going fur free. Currently, we have campaigns with INTERMIX and Kitson.

Our ultimate goal is to ban the sale of fur worldwide. However, we’re most successful when we think globally, but act locally. Our campaigns are selective. We target retailers with locations in Los Angeles that set trends and have a strong influence in consumer fashion.

We do not wish for any stores to go out of business. Quite the contrary. We fully support stores that have gone fur free, and encourage shoppers to support stores that have chosen to put compassion in fashion. Our campaigns focus on positive reinforcement. We hold protests regularly. However, our demonstrations are peaceful and we believe our message is powerful enough that aggressive tactics are not needed.

We prefer to engage the public with an enthusiasm for compassionate fashion whilst providing them with educational materials on the fur trade. We are vegan. No animals were ever harmed in the making of our outfits.

Whether it takes us weeks, months, or even years for a victory, no Fur Free LA campaign is ever complete until we have written confirmation that our target store has gone completely fur free. The animals don’t have a choice, but you do. Make compassion your fashion, their lives depend on it.
